WHAT IS CBD?
cannabidiol

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a naturally occurring compound in the industrial hemp plant. CBD is one of more than 100 phytocannabinoids found in the plant. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the psychoactive component of the plant, CBD does not get you “high.” When CBD is extracted from industrial hemp, it can come in one of two primary forms: Full Spectrum or Isolate.

As the name suggests, Full Spectrum CBD is a whole plant extract which contains all the cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. In addition to these compounds, full spectrum hemp oil also contains essential vitamins, minerals, Omega fatty acids, flavonoids, chlorophyll, adaptogens, and terpenes.

On the other hand, CBD isolate is CBD in its purest form – extracted from the plant and processed to remove all of the oils, plant material, waxes, chlorophyll, and more, leaving behind the pure CBD. It is most often found in the form of white powder or crystals.

Using the whole plant allows consumers to experience the “entourage effect,” where all of the phytocannabinoids within the cannabis plant interact together with the human body and produce a stronger effect than any one of the individual components in isolation. Due to the natural benefits of this entourage effect, Can Be Done has chosen to use full spectrum hemp oil in all of our products.
